ABOUT

This website was developed by Michael Egan (Undergraduate Student at University of California, Berkeley working in Dr. Gonsalves’ lab at Mayo Clinic) and it serves as an open-access platform to support the broader research community by enabling the deposition, sharing, and exploration of metabolomics data related to clonal plasma cell disorders. Recognizing the value of collaborative science and data transparency, the lab designed this resource to house curated datasets from bone marrow and peripheral blood plasma as well as intracellular metabolomic studies performed in patients across the spectrum of plasma cell disorders, including MGUS, smoldering myeloma, plasmacytomas, multiple myeloma, and plasma cell leukemia and who have provided informed consent to have their biological samples used for health care research. By making these high-quality, deidentified, datasets freely available, the platform aims to accelerate discovery, foster cross-institutional collaboration, and promote reproducibility in the study of plasma cell metabolism. Investigators can explore plasma cell disorder-specific metabolite data, and integrate these findings into their own research. The website serves as a living repository that will be continuously updated with new datasets and tools, reflecting the evolving landscape of metabolomics in hematologic malignancies.

We kindly ask that members of the research community who use data from this website acknowledge its source in any resulting publications, presentations, or public dissemination of findings. Please cite the resource as:

“Plasma-cell-metabolome.vercel.app by Gonsalves Lab”.

This acknowledgment helps support the continued development, maintenance, and expansion of this open-access platform, and reinforces the value of collaborative science in advancing the understanding of clonal plasma cell disorders.
